Notaro's essay grabbed my attention in the first sentence, I did not expect it to do that. From the start, the essay is right to the point.
The charecters depicted seemed real. I know they sounded like my parents who did anything for their familes.
The sentence variety was easy to read and easy to follow. It was also easy to relate to, which I really enjoyed.
The essay was intensed, yet had a soft side. I think the conclusion added the last bit it needed to make a good story.
